Hello everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend and didn't forget to put the clocks forward!! It's been nice here today, after the snow we had yesterday!
This card is my entry for the Back to Basics challenge on Sue, Playing with Paper's blog. The rules included that no patterned paper was to be used (aarrgh - that was a tough one!!), or die cuts, punches, prima flowers etc (see Sue's blog for full details). Much to my relief, stamps were allowed - so I used the largest one I had to fill up my card!!!!
The stamp is an Anita's one I got for a bargain in DoCrafts Christmas sale. I stamped the image twice, coloured in and cut out the flowers. I layered them up then added some Anita's Clear Gloss. I chalked the background of the stamped image with yellow and green Dovecraft chalks.
I needed to fill the back of my card blank, so I stamped all round it with a small flower border stamp and clear Versamark ink, then dabbed purple chalk all over it. It actually looks quite pretty but doesn't show up on the photo very well!!!The red rafia is very 'basic' - it came from the Christmas wrapping section at Tesco's!! In fact, I've used this quite a lot, it's been very useful!!!
I hope I manged to meet all the conditions of the challenge! This was a fun one!!

Fab card Claire, you could have used patterned paper... if you'd made it yourself ;o) I often make my own, that way I have exactly the right shade and patterns. Fun to do as well.
thanks for playing and good luck.
hugs
